New college unveiled

In  2005, Queensland 's four agricultural colleges merged to form a new force in agricultural and rural training—the Australian Agricultural College Corporation.

The new Agricultural College stands as a corporation sole constituted by the Director-General of Employment and Training.  A corporation sole remains separate from the department as a statutory body, creating the flexibility and autonomy that is important for rural training.

The Australian Agricultural College Corporation aims to produce the best possible training result for rural industry, rural people and local communities.

An advisory board has been created to assist in enhancing the relevance of training for rural industries and communities. The advisory board consists largely of representatives from industry, employer and community groups.
